Portraits with Riva: Katie & Courtney

Hi friends!! So a couple of weeks ago, I posted a photo of these two lovely Texan women on Instagram. I've known Katie 'socially' on Instagram for awhile now. She's from Austin so when she hit me a message on meeting up in San Fran, I was excited. I love meeting new people! More so when you've been following each other for a long time then you get together and you feel like you've known each other for so long! I also met Courtney who's also from Texas but moved to the city few months ago. Katie and Courtney also met through Instagram! That's what I love about community. And I'm blessed to have met so many beautiful people through that app.

Oh did I mention that these two are also photographers? Just imagine when like-minded people hang out. Ugh seriously so much fun.

Here's my 30th and 31st portrait: Katie & Courtney

Vanessa & Ian Gender Reveal

I was planning on posting this session yesterday for Mother's Day but didn't want to reveal to the world the gender of their baby myself. Of course, I don't want to steal that right to these soon-to-be parents! So I waited for them and when I had the go-signal, I just have to post them right away.

You see, I love surprises. I mean who doesn't?? I love the thrill, the excitement, the adrenaline rush that go through your body when you get a surprise, or when you open a gift. It's nerve-wracking, palm sweating and heart palpitating! When Vanessa approached me to do their maternity photos and they also wanted to do a gender reveal, I got so excited. This is the first gender reveal I've done. So this is not only special to them but also to me. After weeks and weeks of planning and scheduling, I am freakin' happy to share these with you.

Yay for a Baby Girl! Congratulations again!!!

Portraits with Riva: Shelly

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to share these with you. I've met Shelly once through her boyfriend at our church a long time ago. We reconnected because of this shoot. Ahhh. I'm so glad that we did. The photo shoot was at eight in the morning with crazy winds, no assistant, and quite a hike just to get to the location, but it was all worth it. I'm just thankful that Shelly was game to do anything. Talk about professional right?

So here I present to you, Shelly. My 29th portrait.
